Adding your Ad Commander Pro license

To enable Ad Commander Pro and receive future updates, you must first purchase a Pro license.

After purchase, you will receive your license key and a copy of Ad Commander Pro via email. This information is also available on the Order Details page after purchase.

Upload the Ad Commander Pro plugin to WordPress and activate the plugin. (Note: Ad Commander Pro requires the core version of Ad Commander also be installed and activated.)

Next, navigate to Ad Commander -> Settings -> Add-ons in the WordPress admin. Paste your license key in the setting box and click Save.

Debugging license activation problems

In rare cases, communication between your server and our license activation server could fail. The most common causes of this are:

  • Our server firewall or Cloudflare seeing your IP or domain as malicious and blocking it
  • Your server blocking outgoing connections to our server
  • The license activation reaches our server, but your object cache is not refreshed, and the license still shows as ‘pending’

If a connection is blocked or times out, you will receive an error message with additional information in most cases. Contact us with your license information, external server IP, and error message.

If your license is stuck as ‘pending’, first check if your website is using object caching. If it is, try disabling your caching, removing the license key, and re-adding it. With most object caching setups, you will not encounter this problem, but we have seen it on rare occasions. The most common conflict has been the LiteSpeed Caching plugin. In these situations, your activation technically reaches our server, and the response is processed, but is mislabeled in your WordPress admin.

Retrying license activation

If you need to retry your license activation after encountering an error, we suggest first completely removing your key, saving, then re-adding your key and saving again. This will clear out any current license activation state that may interfere with your retry.

Can I still use the Pro plugin if it won’t activate?

Yes. Activation is required for future updates, but you can continue to use the Pro plugin while we troubleshoot.
