Max Displays Per Page Load
In some cases, you may have an ad that belongs to multiple groups. It’s possible to prevent the same ad from showing multiple areas on the page at the same time using Max Displays Per Page Load. This setting is available on individual ads under the “Targeting” section.

If this setting is set to a value greater than zero, the number of times the ad will display on the page will not exceed this value. The displays will be considered regardless of how they are embedded on the page (individual ads, groups, or placements).
This setting can, in some cases, result in empty groups if you have more places an ad displays than available ads. In these cases, the group will be empty.
A note on page caching and rendering methods
This setting is compatible with all rendering methods. However, as is true for many settings, if you combine server-side rendering with page caching, your ads will not randomize for visitors. It is typically best to use client-side rendering with page caching.
