Campaigns are a taxonomy associated with individual ads. Ads can be assigned to one or more campaigns, and these campaigns can be used for organizing your ads or viewing reports.
Ad Commander Pro 1.4.0+ also allows you to sync ad groups on a page so that they all display ads from the same campaign.

When this option is checked, the group will take into account other groups on the page that also have this option enabled. All groups on the page with this setting enabled will be synced.
Here is how ads are chosen:
- When the first group on the page with this setting enabled loads, the ad or ads to display in that group are chosen as they normally would be. However, the campaign IDs of each ad that is displayed by that group are saved for reference later.
- The next group with this setting enabled will filter out any ads in the group that are not assigned to any of the campaigns from the first group’s chosen ad(s). The group will then determine which ads or ads to display based on other settings, such as order method.
- The process continues for each group on the page with this setting enabled. The campaigns from the ads in the first group are always considered before choosing an ad to display.
The most straightforward use of this feature is to assign each ad to a campaign. Then put a number of ads into a group. In your next group, put your next set of ads – also each assigned to a campaign. The result will be that all groups display ads from the same, single campaign.

Multiple campaigns per ad or multiple ads displayed per group
Campaigns can get more confusing if assigning multiple campaigns to an individual ad, or displaying multiple ads in a group at the same time (rotating or grid groups, for example).
If a group’s displayed ad is assigned to multiple campaigns, then subsequent groups will display ads from ANY of those campaigns. Ads won’t be required to match ALL of the campaigns.
The same is true if your first group displays multiple ads. If those ads include multiple campaigns, any of those campaigns will qualify ads to display in the next group.
Unsynced groups
It is possible to have groups on the page that act independently. Simply leave this option unchecked, and campaigns will not be considered.
Campaigns vs Advertisers
Advertisers are a separate taxonomy and have no bearing on which ads display. They are used purely for reporting and organizational purposes at this time.
